Monday May 29- No School Memorial Day
This has been such a busy week! We’ve transformed our classroom into a beautiful garden. We learned how seeds grow and even planted some of our own. Then we had a very special day with the Aquarium of the Pacific.

We touched sea cucumbers, anemones, and even sharks!

The May Crowning is almost here, we’ve been practicing our songs and the Hail Mary. The May Crowning is in the Church; it begins at 9:30. The first two pews on both sides of the church are reserved for the students. Please remember that this is a religious tradition, we ask that all parents remain seated throughout the entire ceremony. This is a learning experience for our children and we expect them to act respectfully.

All students are dropped off at 7:55 wearing their “dressy” clothes. Dresses for the girls and a collared shirt and long pants for the boys. Each child is asked to bring one flower to present to the Blessed Virgin Mary, any flower from your garden is perfect.

This is a very short ceremony. After the ceremony the children return to the classroom and we invite our moms to join us. I hope everyone is able to attend if you cannot a grandmother, aunt even a daddy can be a welcome substitute. Since space is limited we can only allow one guest per student. I hope everyone will be able to join us.

We are so excited to share this day with you.

Our new May photos will be posted soon on our website http://beirn101.wixsite.com/prekindergarten.
