Calendar Update
Monday, Mar. 6 – Both classes meet from 7:55-11:00 for a special assembly
Thursday, Mar. 16 – Green and White accessories may be worn
Friday, Mar. 17 – No School: St. Patrick’s Day
We have begun learning about Lent and received ashes on Wednesday. We have learned that Lent is a prayerful and loving time in our Faith. During Lent we will be doing special things to help around the house; maybe putting on our pajamas or getting dressed the first time we are told, setting the table all by ourselves, and doing other things to show kindness. The students will tell us each day what they did to show love and kindness, and we will write it on a “piece of grass.” The students put the piece of paper grass in their Lenten baskets. Please help your child remember to do kind, loving, and helpful things so they can tell us and get lots of grass for their Lenten baskets.

On Thursday, we celebrated Dr. Seuss’ birthday by reading books and creating our own Dr. Seuss-like characters. We know that Dr. Seuss was an author and wrote books that rhyme.
We have begun making our “America the Beautiful” books; soon you will be hearing the song.
